  14.      lsd - turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream
  15.  
  16. SYNOPSIS
  17.      lsd [ -dsS ] brandname user ...
  18.  
  19. DESCRIPTION
  20.      Disturbs the given users according to dosage, set, and setting.
  21.      If more than one user is specified, each will be affected by the
  22.      others, according to the arguments they give to lsd on their
  23.      own terminals or machines.  It is recommended that one of the users
  24.      in a group specify a dose of 0, and that at least one other user be
  25.      experienced in using lsd.

  27.      Brandname is usually a blotter pattern, but may be used to specify
  28.      a non-blotter form, such as "windowpane" or "pyramid."

  30.      There are a number of options, each of which can have a strange and
  31.      not completely predictable effect on the users:

  34.      -d   Dosage.  A dosage of 1 to 3 is recommended for first time
  35.           users, although strength varies with brandname and storage
  36.           conditions.

  38.      -s   Set.  Recommended values are "calm," "happy," and "groovy."
  39.           Sets like "angry," "frustrated," and "bummed" may cause file
  40.           system damage, and should be avoided.  For these sets, other
  41.           utilities are available (see "valium").

  43.      -S   Setting.  Recommended are "familiar," "interesting," and
  44.           "comfortable."  Hostile and challenging settings are reserved
  45.           for experienced users.

  47. FILES
  48.      /etc/trips is a log of system-wide use of lsd since booting.
  49.  
  50. BUGS
  51.      When invoked with incorrect arguments, lsd will print out a random,
  52.      Unixy-sounding error message and remove this man page.  This policy
  53.      prevents misuse by undergraduates and fundamentalist Christians.
  54.  
  55.      User state should return to normal in twelve hours or less after
  56.      invoking lsd.  With extreme parameters, however, this cannot always
  57.      be guaranteed.

  59.      The output device is assumed to be 80 columns wide.
